How we know

The catalogue today

Every event on Fairground is built from its own published pages. Dates, venues and formats come from the event's website. Sponsor listings are collected from the event's published sponsor pages, and every sponsor and speaker row records where we saw it. Where data is missing, we show nothing rather than a guess. Figures are recorded as published, not independently guaranteed.

The labels we are building

Fairground does not yet publish sponsorship costs. When the benchmark layer ships, every figure will carry one of three labels:

  • The event organiser confirmed it to us.
  • One public source, or one contribution. Real, but singular — and the source is named beside it.
  • We computed it. The inputs are listed beside the number, and where the figure projects onto something we have not observed, the assumptions are stated with it.

What we don't have yet

The benchmark layer will launch only with real contributions, sample sizes shown, and these labels attached. Two commitments are already locked for when it does: your company will never be shown, and your number will never be shown alone.
